Many months ago we bought some plants from the garden centre, they were only £2.99 and although they looked a bit sad it seemed a bargain.Last night we harvested our first two corn cobs and had them for tea. They were delicious. SO even allowing for the magic of Aldi, our corn has repayed us already, and there's still plenty of cobs yet to eat. These pictures show their progress.
Elsewhere the offspring returned to school today. Yesterday we bought socks, and although they were a bit glum that they didin't get whole new uniforms, they went off bright and excited this morning. Expereince tells us that it'll be all of two days before they don't want to go anymore. But hey, live in the moment.
Vero's had enough already too.
