Dontcha

So, life contiues apace, younger sibling is very excited that she has thrown of the shackles of her formal dance training to embrace martial arts.
And violin.
May God have mercy on our souls.
Pater is on the verge of plunging back into academia, and a new job, well loan of a new job, yep he's out on placement at a secondary school.
Doing a role mostly of a pastoral nature.
May God have mercy on our souls.
First born, well life is up and down and all about, to be independant, to do as the aged parents say, not long till she hits double figure.
May God have mercy on our souls.
Mother has been knitting socks and has handed in her theory case study. Again.

The writing's on the wall

Many months ago we bought some plants from the garden centre, they were only £2.99 and although they looked a bit sad it seemed a bargain.

Last night we harvested our first two corn cobs and had them for tea. They were delicious. SO even allowing for the magic of Aldi, our corn has repayed us already, and there's still plenty of cobs yet to eat. These pictures show their progress.

Elsewhere the offspring returned to school today. Yesterday we bought socks, and although they were a bit glum that they didin't get whole new uniforms, they went off bright and excited this morning. Expereince tells us that it'll be all of two days before they don't want to go anymore. But hey, live in the moment.
