Take you there, take you there

Half term, can't say it's been relaxing as there are these assignments that we have to hand in, which has been a blot on the landscape. We have earnestly tried to get out and about, even though it's cold, and grey.
However we have seen vultures fly overhead...in doors, and a barn owl, at MOSI, which we enjoyed, even the anomalous train timetable was an experience.
Then we joined most of the north west of england by going to the zoo, here are the favourite bits. We have never seen the butterflies before, and although they were a bit thin on the ground they were glorious to behold. The bat cave was a hit as ever. The new cheetah enclosure was good as we actually saw them, and we thought that first born shared many attributes with them, as did the dudaffes ( giraffes), which are also my favourites.
Younger sibling had happy penguin encounters, luring them with bits of grass on the glass wall was most entertaining.
Sadly it's back to the grind on Monday, which is a downer, but at least the assignments will be handed in by Wednesday and we can breathe again, for a bit.
