A sometime blog about what we do, where we go and how we feel about it all. With pictures.

All the changes you put me through.
No Easter holiday can be complete without some advanced cultural outing, so we went with a load of people from the other end of the catchment area to a sculpture park to do a workshop.
They did some sketching of various things, and heard the story of this totem pole, first born was rubbing buttercups in to get some colour going. Note the sculpture in the background, younger sibling felt this may be an octopus under a flat.
After lunch they made a mythical creature and a normal one, their group made a minotaur, and a horse. You may be able to appreciate the problems we had with horns, until Gary gave us some clay and these rather fetching horns.
Which first born is working into the piece. It perhaps has a hint of pig about the face but generally some rather fine work.

Younger sibling was flagging a bit by this point and gave herself to some reflection.

ReplyDeleteIt looked like an excellent creative outing!! Vero has been bemoaning the fact that there's nothing really like that over here. We're thinking about setting one up in Che Guillou for Amy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment! After looking through your blog a bit, I have to say your girls are both darling and your pictures are beautiful!
