Park Life
Half term, the sun has been shining and we have endeavoured to air the children as much as their extremities permit. It's been great. Friday saw the whole team on holiday and so we went out to throw food at the geese.
We have progressed through that stage where off spring had to be protected from ravening geese, they now hold their own quite well, ( geese or kids?? dunno) and with fresh air clear blue sky and a bit of light charging around it was a very satisfiying outing. Plus the obligatory trip to the cafe....why do they always want an ice cream regardless of the temperature?
The differing approaches to 'getting themselves dressed' are demonstrated here, first born felt the exquisite sparkly party dress plus matching jewels rather fine for a country park, whilst younger sibling opted for school unifrom, guess there are many depths of meaning to explore in that one.
It's a joy to get absorbed in things and lose yourself for a while, in feeding grain to geese, looking at trees, balancing on a log, or walking. Having had to curtail the long walks in the country whilst they are little, the hopes are awakening that soon we can start to go out on walks again. Younger sibling is not a natural so it may take a while to harden her off and build up her stamina, poor little blighter.

In the mean time it's good to enjoy winter sun, fresh air and outdoors with the full team, and we are pleased to announce that no digits have succoumbed to frost bite ....as yet.

The presents have been much appreciated thanks, and they love the arty crafty side of life so they were really pleased, Lois has turned out some very professional drawings of robots thanks to the 'draw anything' guide.
ReplyDeleteWe don't hold it against Amy, think Grace felt a personal message would have been nice, but she is a patient sort, it will all come with time no doubt.
