You got a thing

Sometimes mother needs some head space, so I go to a fabulous place just outside Whitby.

It is hosted by nuns and runs along Benedictine lines, it allows a weekend of peace, reflection and restoration. I love it.

You don't smoke what I smoke

Grandma was 80 in March. She was very keen to have a birthday lunch and some balloons. Here we all are making sure the birthday princess got what she wanted.

You don't think what I think

Mothers new job has had some unforseen consequences, such as fabulous nuights out with lovely colleagues in fancy dress. Who would have thought.

Free your mind

This year saw the first born turn twelve years of solar returns.

A lot happens when you are twelve. Big school and lots more independance, like going on the bus, having your own mobile phone and doing things with just your friends.

The birthday party this year was afternoon tea with some friends followed by pizza and a film at home. Happy days. New friends have arrived and things are looking good.
