I don't like to see this place

More of the same, the sun is shining and more adventure beckons. There will be SATS and the end of primary school soon, but we are trying to keep a sense of proportion about that one, and enjoy the moment.

Right to his face

It hasn't rained for ages, at least that's how it feels. Mother gets a yearning to go outdoors and whoever doesn't run away fast enough get to come too.

Back to Rowarth for the walk across the tops.

It felt like miles and miles to the littlest legs.

I told the judge

Easter holidays have not been without their own challenges, but we have managed to claw back some fun times too.

We went on pilgrimage to Eureka! which is now the national children's museum and do this cool unlimited visits for a year thing on admission. It feel like we have been coming here for ever, and although it was interesting to see first born adjusting for her new found maturity, we had a lovely day out.

Take a piece and pass it on.

We love the the magnolia tree blooms for her birthday. Although the preparations for the party took some effort as there was the pesky interview presentation to do at the same time, but it all came out in the wash. The verdict was that the party was fabulous so happiness all round. Cake does that for a person.

Can I get your hand to write on?

Yup, birthday time again.

Younger sibling ( now known as "the little one"), had some friend round and also a couple of mates came from sleep over.

It all went very well and the day was fine so there was much romping round the garden and playing on the trampoline.

Take a look its on display for you.

It can be a bit tricky to co ordinate, but sometimes everyone mackes it to the same spot at the same time.

So we went to the Red Lion round the back of Haigh Hall and had the nice set menu for not a lot of pounds.

The kids ate like good uns and we had a laugh.

Some of us even managed to learn how to do the nice thingy with the napkins.

Result.
