Don't tell me about evil

Chillingham Castle is one of the coolest places to visit, really.
We loved it here, except for the bit where younger sibling fell backwards into a trough.
But still it is lovely.

No dancing tonight

Many roles, many things we did, several centuries too late, pater finds he is a natural archer, younger sibling she prefers the theory of pony rides to the actuality, and first born finds that she is ready for anything as she grows big and strong.
We love the castles up here and chose well for grand days out, and no crowds to speak of, as mostly everyone else was back at school. Huzzah.

Mostly superstitious

These are the beach pics from the other end of the week where the weather was less clement, but there is a lot of fun to be had flying a kite in strong winds and experiencing sea mist to the max. We really enjoyed the eating out, the swimming in the pool and general relaxing too.

We Come One

We have returned.
It was a most fabulous week in our spiritual home, ad we found it as delightful as ever. Here was are on the beach, on the couple of fine days that rounded off the week.
The traditional sand castle and some lovely sculptures as done by pater and younger sibling.
