Brim Full of Asher.

Younger sibling is seven, and it was Easter Sunday. So we had a buffet tea to celebrate.

A bosom for a pillow

The Easter holidays required some creative thinking to avoid massive overspends. So we resurrected the art of walking in the countryside.
These are some green lanes between the hamlet of Rowarth and Kinder Scout. The offspring walked in a spirited way along a couple of miles of paths, up hill and across dale, helped along by the binoculars which allowed us to see curlews and skylarks. We had a stop to enjoy the views and drink soup from the flask, and played in the ford of the stream on the way back. Oh, and there are swings near the car park. Bliss.

Everybody needs

The spring has finally arived. Everyone else went to the pub to watch the Manchester derby match. We headed out to Macc forest for picninc and heron watching. Then we popped into Danebrook trout farm and caught trout, Pater killed them and we all ate them for tea.
