Wont you buy me...a mercedes benz

Here is younger sibling as October progressed.
She mourned the absence of halloween in our household so we substituted a party at a nearby church which was such a hoot, and included a puppet show, bouncy castle, fireworks and as shown face painting.

Also her karate progresses and she is learning how to shout, a comfort to us all I feel.

It wont go away

Teddy bear heads on fence. Cool eh? This was down near a small brewery we happened upon in our Ironbridge odyssey. Lovely as their beer was, it wasn't batter than the home brew from Pater.

So we also went to Blists Hill which is a Victorian town, and has much to delight. Smells tastes and sounds, plus lots of things to look at and talk about. How first born is nearly an age to go down a mine, and would certainly be working hard in the household if she had lived back then.

We found a fine engine in a shed. We had to take a picture. Because.

They nearly enjoyed the swinging chairs, and just when they were beginning to feel it was a little dull...it went faster, hilarious.
The squatters cottage is taken by younger sibling, because she likes the way it looks like a face.
We thought about pigs and chickens and remembered how the last time we came here, first born slept all the way down to the squatters cottage, and steamed up the rain cover on her pushchair, age 5 months. The time surely does fly.

The writing's on the wall

This is how we did first steps in civil protest, offspring and mother went to protest about the proposed development of an open space in Chorlton into some football pitches...complete with all weather pitch and floodlights oh and a club house with a bar.

Our friends live very near and it would be a catastrophe, so off we went on a vey cold and grey day. The up side was that in Chorlton they know how to do a good protest, so we had our picture taken, then we had some hot chocolate and buns, then we listened to a speaker and an MP, then we went back to friends house for cuptotea.

A very mild introduction, but one day it may flourish.

Through my soul.

In honour of half term we had a short stop over in Ironbridge, just for one night, and two days to take in the sights, and get in touch with the roots of the industrial revolution.
Well they liked this little playground we found, which had a pleasing level of peril for them to toy with. Walking the high beam, first born has a cow stuck down her top there.
Then we dragged them into the museums, of which there are ten, but we only managed one on the first day. It's called Enginuity, and is about engineering, manufacturing and general processing, like water management etc, who would have thought...museum pieces, but the high light was making a sailing boat, much enjoyed was the hot glue guns and the big tank with piped in wind to allow test voyages.
