Sun is shining

So we know how diverting you all find our tales of A&E attendances, do not be afraid we have another one. Strangely enough it also happened on a night when people were coming round, but this time no stitches, just glue. Be please assured that the top pic does not show the actual mechanism of injury, you should not attempt this at home, and no younger siblings were harmed during the taking of these photos. She did however jump off a wall rather precipitously and split her head over ( see below) it has been glued and healed nicely more pic of that to follow.

They went to Build a bear workshop, as a late late birthday treat and had a very nice time.
The sun is shining just now but we have entered the monsoon season and so were greeted by thunder, lightening and torrential downpours this morning, *sigh* bodes well for the summer hols eh?
Watch this space for news about how we dodge H1N1, and flooding....sounds like the blinking apolcalyse, eh?

Some people like to take long walks in the counrty

This is what we have been doing this weekend, I say we, but mainly these feature pater's pursuits which are, homebrew, remodelling the shed and mates coming round for curry.
It's been a busy few weeks as mother finished her course and had to hand in the dreaded unit 7, and also went back to work after some time off. All fine really but life can be so time consuming.
This week say first born go off on residential to Wales with her class, she did a stunning job of looking after herself and even managed to bring her belongings back safely.
The homebrew is ready- ish and drinking quite well although these things tend to improve with age so the next few weeks are looking rosy.
The hope is that the shed which has been occupied by mothers guinea pig will be reborn as a summer house before the summer is actually over, and the pigs can go back in for the winter, but it looks like being a sanctuary for those moments when a mother needs to get out of the house sometimes. Know what that feels like?
