A sometime blog about what we do, where we go and how we feel about it all. With pictures.

A fork stuck in the road.
The rest of us were a bit superfluous to the big party thing, some of us had to pay, some of us had to entertain pater, so she let him play air hockey and pool against her. Now it feels like one day soon this will all be repeated but hopefully she will be stumping up for beers for her aged parents.

Another turning point.

She walks like a boss
First born is soon to have a birthday, and there is a lot of change in the air. Stages don't stop, they become more and more incomprehensible and taxing to manage/accomodate/survive.
Lord help us when ........
Last night we went to see Mary Poppins at the theatre. It was a grand night out, and was a fabulous production but suffering from aching knees , whether actual or metaphorical can be a right pain in the ****

She got her own thing
Where did I go wrong?
It has become more possible to drag the off srping round in the great outdoors recently. At last younger sibling is developing her walking legs, perhaps all that 'proper' ballet drill she does, although the advent of Aunty Soups greyhound may have helped a bit too ( more of that later).
Well these are the frosty walk picture from before it got really cold. We went to the counrty park and tried to enthuse about trees acorns, leaves, moss and birds. They actually seemed vaguely interested in some of it, well first born did. Younger sibling less so.
But it means we all get out in the air and the vitamin D and it's fairly cheap and no doubt is nearly good for us, somehow, somewhere.
Juxtaposes nicley with into town on the bus for Chinese all you can buffet and a gallery too.

Smack dat
Well December was a bit of a write off really, if such a thing can exist. Never really got into second gear once flu arrived and we all got *the cough*. But we had a great Christmas Day, went to see Santa on the little train and found the nativity in all it's bizarre splendour a hoot, younger sibling was the sole shepherd, her sheep was very wayward, baby knapped the Christ child and wouldn't be herded. First born gave a moving interpretation of Joseph, and the sprint downt the aisle to ensure they arrived in time for Jesus to be born was a piquant moment we shall treasure, brava!
